    Default Uk Postcode validation

    Hi everyone
    Please does anybody know how to validate uk postcode? On my contact page I want user to enter their postcode but I dont want them to enter anything, I want it to be in the wright format, the postcode does not have to be correct, but it should be in the wright format. Please help.

    I suggest that you do a search for existing scripts, either client side (such as javascript) or server side (such as PHP) to do what you want. I would think that many such scripts have been created, so some of them may be available for download.

    UK post codes are in the format of SW1 ABC

    The first set of characters can be 2, 3 or 4 digits though.
