Default Google Speed Trace Chrome Extension Rocks!

If you use the Google Chrome browser as of today you can add extensions which are similar to Firefox add ons. Google Chrome Extensions

Google has been hinting they may start giving a bonus to fast web sites and a penalty to slow sites as discussed here on WHB.

One very useful extension I found for measuring web page speed is one made by Google, the Speed Trace Chrome Extension. This is similar to the Google and Yahoo page speed sections in the Firebug add on for Firefox.

This is yet another indication that Google really will implement this ranking change soon that Matt Cutts was hinting at.

[EDIT] Google just added a YouTube video about Speed Tracer from todays Campfire One.
    Thanks,

any add-ons like this for firefox? I'm not ready to switch browsers yet, but I'm sure there is one like this for Firefox because it's so widely used now.

For Firefox there is the widely used FireBug and to that you can add extensions like Yahoo's YSlow and Google's Page Speed.

You will need FireBug to use YSlow and Page Speed as these are extensions to FireBug.

FireBug is also great for debugging Javascript and especially Ajax applications. It shows you the full XHR headers that are both sent and received during Ajax calls.
