Problems with forms and php

-edit: problem solved only took 9 hours for all of 50 characters of line.

I am running into some difficulty with a webform being submited via php to email. It submits fine, but there is a minor problem

form options with a ' in them, show up in the email with a \ before the '.

Any assistance withthese last issues greatly appreciated.
